No Problems with This Modem By John The Actiontech Wireless DSL Gateway/Modem is a satisfactory (in every way, including price) piece of electronics. It was reasonably easy to install and get up and running with little or no hassle. The status LED's are an especially nice touch, as they let you know that all is OK or not OK as the case may be and give an indication of a problem. I also like the wall-mount feature (all that are needed are two flat-head screws and a wall. See all 5 customer reviews...

We bought it to hook my son's X-box 360 up to our cable router, rather than spend $100 on the wireless device. It works fine and found that I don't need to spend $40 on a cable in a store. I will never buy cables in a store again. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Bad, bad, bad cable... Stay away By L. Turk I would have thought that the cable would have been tested before shipping, so I consequently did not test it myself...I feel completely devastated because it took a lot of time and work to run it behind and through heavy furniture, etc. The cost of the cable is a drop in the bucket compared to the loss I'll have to take to run a different cable and do the whole thing over again, for I cannot charge the client for a redo because of a bad cable.I'm hoping that the cable is just badly crimped, for I can fix that and recrimp it without having to start all over again. It even looks like it might have been hand-crimped to begin with. The cable is exactly as it looks- not moulded nor snagless.I would recommend to anyone to stay away from this and do it yourself, or spend a little more money for a better cable... Cheap has turned out to be expensive in this case. This might be one bad one out of a thousand, but that doesn't matter to me because this one defective one has cost me a bundle. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Excellent buy! By Xiomara Cabrera I am so glad I made the decision to buy this cable; I had wireless before and I was losing connection most of the time. Most helpful customer reviews 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Problem solved By Chas Law How much can one say about a cable? Well, some cables are noticeably cheap and nasty and some are obviously designed for use with super computers. This one falls into the middle ground that fits almost every home user. In a nutshell, if you have a computer in a different room to your modem or router then this cable does the job nicely. The toughest thing is the DIY job you have to do to get it under floors and/or through walls. The snagless protectors do what they are supposed to do so if you need to move the cable then the release catch cannot "grab" hold of other cables. Particularly one of the million strands of spaghetti that hang down behind our computer desks. We've all been there trying to unhook the cable we are trying to pull out from under the desk which usually ends up with us banging our heads on the keyboard tray. So, nice price for 50' of cable that works perfectly and it easy to use if you're moving it at all. Job done, .. oh, except for drilling those holes and crawling through the crawl space. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Very good price By Conrad D. Shull Price was very good with speedy delivery. Would cost about 10 times as much at a RS store 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Most helpful customer reviews 92 of 95 people found the following review helpful. There are three different versions with this model number By DS The original version of this router was version 1000, based on the same platform as Belkin's F5D8230-4 Pre-N and the Linksys WRT54GX routers using Airgo's v1 technology and a Broadcom engine. It got an excellent review from Tom's Networking guide. Then Belkin put a whole new circuit bard inside the same case and called it Version 2000. It used Airgo's v2 technology and a Realtek engine, and got roundly criticized on the equipment forums for being an inferior product. The latest version is 3000, which isn't even based on Airgo technology any more. Now Belkin is using Ralink technology, and it's essentially the same router as the Airlink AR-525W, SparkLAN WRTR-300 or Compusa's store brand MIMO router, any of which can be found in stores for about 25 bucks. The version 3000 technology bears no resemblance to the Airgo version that got such a good review at Tom's. In fact, the router with the Ralink chipset (the Airlink) came in dead last and was the only one to receive a rating of "not recommended" in Tom's roundup.Of course there's no way to tell in advance which version you'll get, but it's a pretty good bet you'll get the latest one. The only way to tell is to look at the sticker on the bottom of the box. This practice of changing the internal electronics without changing the model number is a really annoying practice. It's hard enough to do all your research and decide which model to buy, so then to end up with something entirely different from what you thought you were getting is just maddening. Your best bet is to just stay away from this one. 20 of 20 people found the following review helpful. Completely without Value By Beanhauer This router drops my connection every few minutes. I've spent hours on the phone with Belkin and replaced the whole thing. A quick internet search finds dozens of people reporting the same problem, with no solution offered. It's just no good. 10 of 11 people found the following review helpful. Great Router By Arshad M. Raja great router, much better than dlink, better than netgear and linksys. i used to have belkin 54g wireless router, but due to setup restriction i wasnt getting full signal with it in my room upstairs on the 2nd floor. upgraded from 54g to mimo and now i am getting almost 100% signal strength on the top floor. make sure you match it up with a mimo lan card to get the max strangth. i used this router with a 802.11b lan card and still got about 90% signal strength on the top floor. the setup is very easy and straight forward. much hassle free than netgear. it took me hours (literelly) to setup the netgear 108 router for her and still it was acting, where as it took me about 10 minutes to set up this belkin mimo. good job and product belkin. oh yeah dont forget, belkin has lifetime support and warranty. might come in handy in the long run. netgear and linksys has only 3 years i believe. Most helpful customer reviews 11 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Works great - firmware issues to know about.... By Walker Setup: fairly straightforward. There is a "wizard" setup for those who don't like to go through every single option screen. The screen navigation is laid out in a simple, but not intuitive manner - it takes a few moments to realize the buttons on the left change with tab options at the top, but the buttons on the left don't change if there are multiple screens on the right (like "next page" or a button to press). There is no "go back a page" - they expect you to hit the button to the right that is still visible. All my complaining about that aside - it's as easy, if not easier, to navigate and find settings than both netgear and linksys.Print server: no setup available on the router - it either is or is not plugged in. Software setup for PC works fine. Did not try it with linux yet.Wireless: finally, something that works with 64/128 bit WEP. Netgear never worked. Linksys was so-so. This works. NOTE: For those who want to limit ACCESS to the WIRELESS by MAC ADDRESS - this unit cannot do it. It can limit by MAC to the INTERNET, but that will also limit who can attach to the unit, both with wireless and with a physical connection. Most other units only use this filter to limit access to the wireless portion. If used, you have to put in all the machines connecting to it - both wireless and physical....Firewall: Syslog, email logs available. Nice. SPI works. DMZ support. Passthrough ports available. Works great with my nortel VPN client (this is always a good test of PPTP and so on).FIRMWARE NOTE: I had the hardest time getting this thing to work with windows terminal services. No matter what setting I used, it would lock up then drop the connection until I rebooted the router (software reboot). Some settings would go longer, but I could get it to lock up within 2 minutes. Nothing seemed to fix it - a few people have reported this on the internet, but since most people aren't using the terminal services part of windows on a regular basis - they would never know it.The fix was to load the 1.22 firmware, not the 1.23 that came with it. This REMOVES the 802.1X authentication tab (some type of shared radius key BS - if you want radius support, get a REAL wireless device) and it removes the 4X mode for the B+ series of wireless adapters (which I do not have anyway).TO LOAD FIRMWARE: you would need to run either executable (one for MAC or the other for PC) OR use the web browser to upload the file (requires either java or activeX - not sure) because it opens up the "open file" dialog box - meaning - experimental browsers, like those in my beloved linux box - don't work well with this. ALSO - it states in no unclear terms DO NOT UPGRADE USING A WIRELESS LINK. Use a hard wired computer. I went from 1.23 to 1.22 and back and forth and so on testing this remote desktop issue.FINAL FIX: load 1.23, hit the button to reset the router to the defaults, load 1.22, reboot, hit the button to reset the router to the defaults, then type all your configuration back in.Why the crazy steps? If you loaded 1.23, typed ANYTHING in the boxes that aren't available in 1.22 - it remembers and will cause problems, even though that option isn't availble in 1.22 (I tried this - several times for fun). 1.23 -> load setup defaults -> load 1.22 -> load setup defaults -> configure.Live without their crippled version of RADIUS (if you don't know what this is you don't need it) and who cares about the crappy 4X mode for the B+ stuff? Another marketing ploy anyway.Bottom line - with some experimentation, I figured out the firmware thing. IT has worked BETTER than the linksys ever did (can we say firmware of the week?) and improved over the netgears I have used (you can print and not be disconnected from the internet - thanks a lot netgear).4 stars because firmware is supposed to fix stuff, and their two listed updates should not

By Regular guy This cable is great and was much more cost effective than outdoor Cat6 cable. I wired 2 rooms of my house and much of the cable is running outside of the house with many bends. There were NO data issues at all. I primed and painted all cable that is outside exposed to the sun so that the sunlight doesn't ruin the cable which is not certified for outdoor use. So far it's been fine in 20-90 degree weather and I don't foresee any issues ever now that it's painted.I only run a 100mb network with very heavy video loads from my HTPC to my XBOX in another room, and I am AMAZED how well my newly wired house network performs now. I cut this cable into 40' runs and wired 2 rooms to the room with the cable modem using wall keystones at all connections. Everything worked perfectly and I now have a fully wired ethernet house that looks great. I can't tell you how nice it is and the video quality from the PC to the XBOX is far superior to wireless. Goodbye data loss, I love this cable and the price was great.I can't wait to use this cable with a gigabit network but gigabit routers aren't cheap enough yet and I haven't hit a bottleneck yet with the 100mb network with even with current heavy use. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Outstanding for the Price By WillCalli I didn't expect much, and worried that the wires would not be twisted. However, this Ethernet cable was great great for the price and meet CAT6 standards. Highly recommended for home jobs. See all 2 customer reviews...

Good item good prices and a great deal. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great Cables By Jellicoe These are great little cables. And they truly do no snag. So if you like a rats nest less path to whatever your going to network to, these are the ones to go with. Plus they are black, and the kats have yet to chew a hole into them despite the concerted effort. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Ethernet Network Cable Wire By Sassy Love this cable wire brought in April, have not had any problem, arrived fast, works great. Brought CAT 6 because it is as quoted "Extremely Hi-Performance High Quality 550MHz". 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Works Great ! By Mithradates I've had this cable for about 6 months now and it still works great. I purchased it for a pc that is about 75ft away from my router and there is no noticable loss of data speed from when it was 3ft from the router. I just rolled up the other 25ft that was left over. Great performance and great price! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Works nicely By G. Farnsworth 100 feed of cat 6 cable. I have squeeze these clips through some narrow spaces with no problems the anti-snag clips work like a charm it did not hook up on anything. Excellent cables By Visor Boy I ordered four of these and all of them work great. They have just the right amount of stiffness to neatly lay upon the edge of the floor. The connectors are secure yet simple to squeeze to disengage. See all 8 customer reviews...

Ross There isn't much that can go wrong with this kind of item, but I'm still pleased with the quality of the cable and connectors. The cable has been used in a challenging physical and electromagnetic environment for a few years now without a hitch. It was a good value at the time I bought it too. Great color -- I get tired of beige, black, and gray all the time. See all 1 customer reviews...

By Brian Oehlert I needed a cable that would reach my Blu-Ray player so I could allow it to hook to the internet. This was cheaper and easier than setting up a wireless link. I can now enjoy ALL the benefits my Sony Blu-Ray has to offer ! 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Good cable at a good price By Gary L. Lindgren I originally ordered the cable directly from Cables to Go, but it was more expensive and they didn't have what I wanted. To my surprise, they had it through amazon for less money. Not sure why it was easier to buy through Amazon but it was. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.
