Parks How many of you think it is very difficult to obtain clear information about networking products online. Unlike other electronic devices, it seems that there is a ton of clowns out there, each weighing about how your router is terrible, if they do not know what they are doing or have physicial challenges, not the fault of the hardware. Suffice to say I have a ton of research before purchasing this product. As it turned out, Amazon has the best price (including shipping, of course) - but I checked the reviews on CNET, NewEgg, and somewhere else I could find. The best resouce I found was here - at SmallNetBuilder.com. [...] This guy really puts the machine through its paces and seems relatively impartial in their approach. I tip my hat to him. This product is quick and relatively easy to configure. But above all, has two radio What this means for you is that you will see two different versions of the router when you are online. If you want you can dedicate one channel for N and one for B / G. This is very clearly on the Linksys site, if you want to check. You will see many products that say "Dual Band" (it can operate in both frequencies), but be careful because if the product called "simulcasting" will not be at the same time. So if you, as we do at my house, NG and current users, and they want security number or other parameters on the simultaneous transmission of multiple channels is the way to go. There may be other reasons to go this route, including streaming media and games on the 5 GHz band - this is especially true if you just want to delete the child and do not try to reproduce the N / 5 GHz signal from a distance. If you have realistic expectations about what this product will do - and especially if you do not need a Gigabit Ethernet network (I have a gigabit switch to my cable box, which means that transfers of these machines to have "slowed "at 100 GHz, when interfaced to the wireless world, but from a practical standpoint, I have not noticed any slowdown!) this is by far the wireless router, I will not argue with people who say they do not see a speed improvement, but I can tell you that we see speed improvements on both the spectrum and its spectrum GN to our old Belkin Pre-N router. Finally, the design is funky pictures and videos I've seen. The house is pretty Swank looking and certainly less obvious than anything remotely antenatal. So another tip of the cap to the designers. After the purchase of LG 390BD for DVD and BlueRay to view streaming movies and TV from Netflix discovered my Belkin N1 Router will not work with security enabled. A technician helped me with the Belkin router configuration again and ran The Messenger. Unfortuantly when you turn on the Blu-ray and then could not get into my Netflix instant queue again. After hours of research I discovered that the Linksys routers supposedly got the best thing about Netflix instant. I bought and installed WRT400n yesterday. First router, the wireless network at my wife's computer and finally LG390BD. Linksys provides software that works perfectly for me. A very simple installation. A graph of the set (suppled by Linksys) shows all network connections, including LG390BD now I have the full security of my network and the devices worked perfectly since installation. This is my first review for a big thank you to everyone who has time to review the items you Haver helped me make an intelligent purchase.
