Dixon After getting my first HDTV, I was dismayed that my signal was too low to maintain a constant picture (even on non-HD channels). Having multiple devices requiring a cable signal, I needed to amplify as well as split my incoming signal. This splitter/amplifier did the trick! Very high quality item. Solidly built. Works like a champ - cleaned up my picture By Video Guy 40333 When I ordered it I actually received a slightly different product than what is pictured here, but I think it is just a newer model. Same number of outputs, but it is really, really small - only about 4 inches square including the connectors. I had a crummy picture on a couple of TVs, and the digital cable would drop out and pixel once in a while. I replaced 2 splitters with this thing and now my channels stay clear across the board, and my tivo dvr looks a lot better too. The only thing left is my cable modem, and I was told not to connect it to this amp, plus I did not have enough ports to connect it. There is another product that I was thinking of trying, supposedly you can connect anything to it and it will work - including a cable modem.
