Router seems to work well for about a week and then I have trouble writing my USB drive connected. Reads work OK, but incredibly slowly. Then the router must reboot and the problems disappear for a week. 23 of 29 customers found this review helpful. Easy setup and great coverage by G. Henderson, I have this router a rating of 5 stars, based on the simplicity of installation and a very good network coverage. I bought these to replace my router to a flaky Belkin router. I have the complete configuration from my laptop to the wireless network. No breakdowns, no problems. I had a couple of my wireless devices to update their network connections associated update, but adapted to most devices without intervention. The cover is very long in my house without dead spots visible. This just started today, so have not had a chance to drive a direct connection for access over the network .. tomorrow. Will follow up with any situation that may affect my first reviews ... so far no negatives ... great product! Update: Now did this router with 2-stars. This router did not work, downloads were very slow connection and other wireless devices were problematic ... replaced by a Buffalo router that works flawlessly now. 9 of 11 people found the following review helpful. Not ready for prime time by John Nguyen The router drops connections randomly without any reason. Let me first say that this has nothing to do with Linux. Secondly, I do not know what additional Linux setup this Linksys router. The documentation that accompanies the CD (and on their website) does not mention anything about. I tried to SSH into the router and could not. I have this router with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS X and Linux machines and all of them in the broken wire problem space. When interrupted, not one of the machines I mentioned in a position to produce again. You must restart router to reconnect. The USB-shared storage is not working properly because it hangs randomly when trying to access a share. The network is never busy when this happens. Be careful when moving files, like the network glitch thus may lose data. There is only one thing I like about this wireless router. It allows you to assign fixed IP addresses to any computer via the DHCP function. This is not enough for me to keep on using it. It was returned. Linksys routers are used, the stronger, I hope this is not a sign of things now that Cisco was getting over. All 17 customer reviews ....
