It was quite impressive - easy to use, easy to configure, and seemed to have great variety. Ten minutes later, however, was giving me the flashing LED - meaning that he was having a big problem. I spent the next two hours, with the support of Cisco in India trying to convince them that no matter if I was using AT & T or Verizon for my ISP - their own power LED indicates a site meant a defective router. Finally agreed to replace it - a process that will take a couple of weeks. Usually when a company has enough inventory to sell reconditioned appliances retail, there is a fundamental problem with the hardware. I suggest staying away from the revamped version - and maybe even the new product. 51 of 56 people found this review helpful. NO RETURN POLICY NOT released by Electronica Direct bullet Bob's Return policy not to disclose the list they will not return to the new items. Now I know why, after receiving a router dead ... They know the problems with this item better than anyone. When not behind him, you think you should buy or not any business with the seller? I will not. 17 of 17 people found the following review helpful. Beware of buying a Refurb By James M. My problems with this router does not originate in the quality of the router itself (it is actually very good when working properly), but with little effort Cisco / Linksys set to "renew" their products. From my experience, / Linksys, Cisco's "quality assurance standards are so incredibly low that they have no qualms about sending you a bricked router as it happened in my case (more on that after my review) have. For now, I ignore my gripes with the company and focus only on the router Once the E3000 is actually implemented, it is very nice, very easy to use the device as someone who has bought a Linksys / Cisco can confirm the other. For the week, and I've owned this router (after getting it to work), I have not encountered any problem with the connection of wireless devices and I had no problem of connectivity (links stop / slow / low). Now my problem with Cisco / Linksys and why you should be careful to buy a refurbished routers from them: As you may have deduced from my (thin) above tips, configuration of the router can be incredibly easy or a complete nightmare. For me, my experience is of the latter as I was sent a router bricks. After setting up my router, I turned for the first time and found that not only was not connected to the Internet, the router is insensitive, except the power light was blinking. After a Google search, I found that this was a defective firmware (bricked router) and I ended up manually restore the router's firmware For those who are considering buying this router refurbished, please note that Cisco / Linksys obviously did not check that their refurbished router actually work before you throw them out the door. Actually, I do not even know if I was even investigated, taking into account that my router: a) does not work when IB was) had signs of physical damage (there is a spot visible to the case that as if someone spilled coffee look at it) C) Have you not read even with a working software CD (my drive could not, despite being in a position to a second hard drive I've tried) Literally read, so the only thing I use this router that worked, came straight out of the box was the power supply. For those of you who do not like to read all that feel: Pros: Easy to use, has a good connection between wired / wireless clients that proved so reliable (after my initial setup). Cons: Cisco / Linksys router can send a brick and / or physically damaged My advice for the purchase of refurbished goods.
