The best customer reviews 61 of 65 people found this review helpful. Routing sky ... Almost by A. Dent The Linksys E3200 is undoubtedly an awesome product. It is easy to configure a router that seems to work reliably and even comes with some bells and whistles remarkable. However, some of the claims of "high performance" proved to be a bit exaggerated and was not impressed with the quality of user support. SETUP (5 of 5) One of the questions most of us think before we proceed to establish something as complicated as a new router is "I'll be able to make it work for me?" The good news is that in this case, the answer must be "likely or very likely." For a basic setup, simply connect the router, run the Cisco Connect a CD on a computer equipped with a Wi-Fi adapter and ... is connected. Cisco Connect is a well-organized app that will help you to add devices to the network - and since the router is running and using any device will count once you get the password - access a guest on a separate restricted network, the parental control, test speed of your connection to the Internet and manage your router if you need to share your network for better performance, DNS and DHCP, the advanced wireless settings, security configuration, the disk if you bijlagen have one site, defining access policies and so on he is as sophisticated as you need to be and the good news is that both Connect and Cisco Router Web interface is well organized and supported by a very well written and very detailed instructions. I'll post the link to download the PDF file as a response to this review. My basic position clear a few minutes and took a few minutes to register individual devices: laptops, desktops, printers, portable devices, gaming, home servers, some Internet radio has a cable (4-port 10/100/1000 Mbps available) requires no configuration. For more sophisticated tasks, such as reserving IP addresses for the printer and a media center and "split" traffic in two separate network mapping name in the bands router frequency 2 (2.4 MHz and 5 MHz) was so easy and well covered by the manual . It is important to Cisco Connect is installed in one of the teams, if not all, first when you start is to check the status of the router and try to solve any problem, if detected. For the "last" I installed from the Cisco site and had no problems during or after installation. Performance and range (4 of 5) Depending on your customers, can the router up to 300 Gbps x 2 - replaced it was a big improvement over the router 80211g it. It is given much, that the best thing I received from my ISP is upstream from 15 Mbps downstream and 2 Mbps, but the home networks of today have a lot of internal traffic in the use of NAS devices, media servers or home server, the set to perform backups. While the router supports 802.11 a / b / g / n, the manual warns that better performance can be achieved if all 802.11n clients and the support of a single 802.11a clients can slow down the entire network if it exists. In practice, I am consistently on the 150 Mbps 5 GHz band, while in the same room about 30 feet from the router (with the exception of a few minutes each day if the signal at 5 GHz for no apparent reason - see the screenshots shown) . With a floor between 90 Mbps is possible, but the 5 GHz band was not as reliable or I could get a steady stream of 54 Mbps, sometimes better on two floors at 24 GHz between the two (the router in the basement and the computer to the second floor and on the opposite side of the house, about 70 to 80 feet away) the band of 5 MHz has become almost unusable (I inSSIDer after a few photos) and the 2.4 GHz band would have 6-24 Mbps still ok for web browsing. Computers, on the second floor just above the router to get a constant 50 to 70 Mbps on.
